There’s something about the moment the sun disappears that just hits different.
And when it comes to creating bold, energetic, high-impact flash wedding photos, that’s exactly where I thrive.
So when the sun dipped low at the Electric Love styled shoot – a 90s roller-rink fever dream brought to life with disco glam, black lights, and wild color – I knew it was go time. This shoot didn’t wind down at golden hour… it leveled up.

Styled by the powerhouse team at Cat Haus Collective, Electric Love was a celebration of all things bold and nostalgic: retro neons, DJ vibes, fog machines, and the kind of color palette that absolutely refuses to whisper.
It brought roller rink mayhem and wedding inspiration into the same wild space – and it was recently featured in Rock n Roll Bride, one of my favorite alternative wedding publications.
But while most of the shoot played out in the glow of afternoon light, my perspective started after dark.
There’s a whole world of wedding photography that exists after the sun goes down – and that’s where flash wedding photos come in.
Flash allows me to:
Whether it’s a neon backdrop, a pair of rhinestone boots, or a high-contrast veil shot with disco energy, flash gives me the tools to create images that feel as electric as the moment itself.

While the daytime part of the shoot leaned into soft styling and natural light, I showed up for the after party. And I brought the flash.
My take on Electric Love was all about:
This wasn’t just about capturing the details – it was about amplifying the vibe. The result? A flash-forward perspective on a wildly creative shoot.
These flash wedding photos aren’t for everyone.
They’re for the bold ones. The late-night dance-floor legends. The couples who want their wedding to feel more like a concert, a fashion show, or a full-on fever dream than a traditional day on a timeline.
This is for you if:
If you’re not afraid of color, contrast, or a little controlled mayhem, we’re going to get along just fine.
So whether you’re planning a wedding, an elopement, or just throwing the raddest damn party of your life – flash photos like these are for the ones who come alive after dark.

If you’re a couple who plans to party hard after dark (and honestly, you should), flash wedding photography is how you make those memories stand out.
Some favorite ways I use flash in weddings:
And if you’re planning a shoot, styled event, or wedding that leans into color, chaos, and a little late-night mayhem – I want in.

Electric Love was featured on Rock n Roll Bride – a publication that celebrates couples who break tradition and do things their own way. This shoot was no exception.
But the story didn’t end with the feature.
This is my after-dark version – the flash-lit encore to an already incredible performance.
